Caring for the elderly

We provide specialised care and support for adults with dementia.

We recognise that, dementia can be a challenging condition to live with whether you are the person with the condition or if you care for someone who has it. Every day is different, and the care and support required can vary dramatically from day-to-day. In addition to this, caring for someone with dementia requires specialist communication, behavioural skills and routine to ensure identity is maintained and dignity preserved.

At UK Star Care, we believe that everybody has the right to live the fullest life available to them, Dementia or not; and we work hard to enable our clients to continue living their chosen lifestyle safely and for as long as possible.

Our staff receive the required training needed in dealing with Challenging Behaviour and receive ongoing support, detailed care plans which identify possible triggers and de-escalation techniques to help the individual remain calm and independent in their own home.

Dementia Care

At UK Star Care, we understand that providing care can take a toll on the caregiver. Respite care is a form of care that we offer to temporarily relieve your primary caregiver. This enables them to take a much-needed break from the demands of providing care for you or your loved one.

UK Star Care provides respite care in your own home. Whether it’s for just a few hours a week or an extended vacation, our respite care can help ease the burden of family care giving and help to relieve stress, restore your energy, and promote balance in your life. It can also prevent you from becoming exhausted, isolated, or even burned out. Respite care can benefit the person you’re caring for, too, providing them with variety, stimulation, and a welcome change of routine.
